New year, new assignment!

What a year and what an assignment to finish this year with!

Today we are focusing on, you guessed it, AAAAAIIIII!!!! I love this course and everything it's teaching me but man I'm tired of AI for sure...

In today's assignment we are giving our students a worksheet with writing tasks and while doing these tasks we ask them to get feedback from ChatGPT. I know now some of you are saying "Aliye weren't we trying to get our students to complete their homeworks by themselves and didn't we invent other AI bots to detect AI use?" and to that I say "Girl, read the blog and our ASSURE lesson plan first..!"

In this lesson we don't want our students to completely rely on AI, actually quite the opposite. While completing their worksheets which me and Gülce prepared students first write their text by themselves and then they ask ChatGPT for improvement areas. With their each step of using AI, students fill out a questionnaire about their experience with the chatbot. They are also given a pre-prepared prompt with their exercises which ensures that most of the students can have the same experience with the chatbot. I'd like to get emotional and thank my amazing instructor Dr. Mustafa Polat ! Hocam, a fun fact, I don't know if you remember it but I was your assistant for a little while during my second year. Thank you for keeping us in touch with the new technologies, in each assignment I learned something new that made me say 'I'll use this in my classroom one day for sure' and I think there are not many classes that make us, upcoming teachers, say that! Thank you again.
